Six Successful Steps to Becoming A Nanny Solution

Email us your childcare resume and a cover letter telling us if you’re looking for full or part time work, what your ideal job would be, your hourly rate, and when you can start a job.

View our job postings and let us know which jobs interest you. We will present you to our client if we feel you’re a match. Matching is based on your qualifications, abilities to perform all the duties on the job description, salary requirements, availability to work the hours and length of the contract, and personality.
Fill out our online application.  You can download it, save it and fill it out, or PRINT it and bring it to your interview. We need your current references, name, phone number and email of your previous employers. Click here for application

Interview with our clients. Most interviews are in the evenings and weekends. You will be asked to interview with our clients for at least 1 hour. Our client will call A Nanny Solution after the interview and let us know if they feel you are the right candidate. We will call you and update you on their decisions. If the interview was a success, the family will schedule a paid working interview. This is normally a supervised working time with the children in their home. .
Schedule an interview with Dawn or Chandra (or their representative) either in person, over the telephone, or Skype. We really like to meet in person when possible. Bring your documents: Drivers license, or Identification Card, CPR cards, Social Security Card or proof of citizenship or eligibility to work in the USA, valid passport, diplomas or education certificates, letters of reference, etc. Other documents for California: TB test, current TDAP vaccination

Receive an offer and job work agreement: We will help negotiate your pay rate and benefits. We understand it’s uncomfortable to “talk money” and we will help you every step of the way. We will help the family with a work agreement so that you can do your job and do it well.
A work agreement will have the following details:

   Work Schedule:
Days and Hours

   Compensation:
Salary in gross terms, understanding of payroll taxes, pay frequency, overtime compensation and any additional benefits or stipends.

   Holiday and Vacation Schedules:
Nannies typically expect 2 weeks paid vacation, understanding that it often will be timed to coincide with family vacation schedules, and paid holidays.

   Childcare Duties:
What specifically is required during childcare hours.
